My 2015 everyday summer makeup look: Day to night ...

List of all the products used at the end of this post.
Hello readers today I want to share the most common makeup look I have been doing this summer. For day or night, it is pretty easy to do and the colors and the textures used work perfectly with the summer weather.
THE EYES
In the summer I don’t like to have too much on my eyes so I just use some concealer. I choose a color a little bit lighter than my skin tone to awaken my eyes. For my eyebrows I used a tinted  eyebrow gel to keep them in place and add density.

THE SKIN
To protect my skin from the sun I used a SPF50 sun protection. As I have combination skin I used a primer to help my maekup stay in place longer. I put several straws of the stick foundation on my face and blended everything with my fingers. When the overall makeup look was done I applied some pressed powder with a brush and sprayed  some fix/refreshing mist on my face to get a more natural finish.
 THE CHEEKS
I applied a beautiful red/coral long lasting blush on the apple of my cheeks. This product is matte with some nice tiny gold particles which give a beautiful highlight effect.
THE LIPS
I applied one of my favorite summer lipsticks (see HERE). It is a lip balm which is very pigmented and very gentle on my natural very dry lips. For the day I apply this balm lightly for a natural result.

NIGHT LOOK

THE EYES
I used a black waterproof eyeliner close to the upper lashes. To create a natural somkey eyes I decided to use a cream eyeshadow in a dark brown color on my lids. It also contains some bronzy shimmer which give a perfect result for a night look I think. To give more definition to my eyes I placed some eyeliner on my lower lashes I decided to use a brown eyeliner so the eye look does not look too heavy. I then used several coats of my 3 favorite mascaras on my lashes.
THE LIPS
I just added layers of the same lipstick.
THE ACCESSORIES
To upgrade an everyday look to a night look accessories are a must and can totally change your look. Here I added some touch of gold and bronze.

My 2015 summer makeup look/teal fever !

July 4th, 2015

Hello readers, summer is officially here and I have a summer inspired makeup look for you today.I think that all the colors and the textures I have used here are perfect for the season. This is a sophisticated makeup look that I would probably wear for special occasions.  Actually I already have a clear idea in mind of what this perfect occasion should be… I can already imagine myself at a summer party in a nice restaurant close to the beach and I would wear a 100% white outfit that will compliment this makeup look perfectly and vice versa. Ok let’s stop dreaming!!!
THE SKIN
To prepare my skin I moisturized it with a SPF 50 daily moisturizer followed by a primer.
For the makeup I applied a long lasting foundation with my fingers to blend it well. I applied one layer only so I got medium coverage kept a very natural look. (read my revie on Lancôme teint idole 24h foundation HERE)
 THE EYES
That is the part that took me most of the time so I will explain it step by step.
1-I used a brightening concealer under my eye to illuminate that area.
2-On my lids area I applied a concealer to minimize the natural darkness I have. Using the concealer first here will also help the color of the eyeshadow I am going to use next to stand out more and to last longer.
3-For the eyeshadow I decided to use a creamy texture that is a must have for the summer as it stays on the lids for a very long time. I chose a perfect color for the season I think; a beautiful bright  teal. Teal is not a new color in cosmetics but it is the first time I have seen such a beautiful one, so of course I had to get it and create a look with it.
4- Then I applied another teal color, a dark teal this time as my eyeliner on my lower and upper lash line.
5-For my lashes I used a lengthening and defining waterproof mascara .
6- As a lot of work had already been done on the eye so I wanted to keep my eyebrows as simple as possible which is why I just groomed them with a clear eyebrow gel.

THE CHEEKS
On my cheeks only I used lightly a bright beautiful orange matte blush which I enjoy using mostly in the summer time as it gives me a very natural healthy glow. If you have dark skin you should absolutely not be scared of this color as it looks very natural on our skin tone especially if you have some orange undertone in your complexion like myself..  Just above the cheeks I used a golden/coral  highlighter to enhance this glow that we are all looking for during the summer time.
THE NAILS
Pink works for any season so here I chose a bright baby pink fom the brand Mavala in Miami
THE LIPS
In order to keep the main focus on the eyes I decided to wear a nude lipstick as it works with pretty much every looks.

Hope you enjoy the look.

A fresh nude look with the Naked palette from Urban Decay !

 June 15,2015
Hello readers, today I want to share a makeup look I have done a couple of weeks ago. I decided to call it the “first fresh nude” because although I have owned the nude palette for many years I have not used a lot and it is also the very first time I use it to do a makeup look on this blog.

THE BASE/THE SKIN
I applied 2 creamy foundations on my skin with my fingers as usual. I have to use two because they have different undertones; one more red the other one more yellow and both together are a really close match to my complexion. I set everything with a light powder.
THE EYES
On the lids I first applied a concealer to cancel the natural darkness I have their (MAC NC studio finish concealer)ed a beige/pink/gold color (toasted from the naked palette). On the crease and and on the outer corner f the eye I applied a darker color (brown/purple: hutsle) following the natural shape of my eyes for more definition. I then put 2 coats of mascara and on the water line I used my favourite dark brown eye liner (n°6:lancôme châtaigne n°02)
EYEBROWS
To keep a fresh effect to the look I decided to keep my eyebrows very natural, so I have just fixed them with a clear eyebrow gel.
THE CHEEKS
I lightly put a coral blush on the cheeks to give a fresh effect to the look.
NAILS
I painted my nails with one of my favourite glossy pink nail polish of the moment (Mavala- Miami)

THE LIPS
On my lips I decided to go for a dark pink semi-matte lipstick which compliments perfectly the nude colors on the eyes in my opinion.
THE CHEECKS
I lightly put a coral blush on the cheeks to give a fresh effect to the look.

Charlotte Tilbury "Fallen Angel" eye palette: Bronze on bronze for every occasion

 April 10th 2015
lire en français ici
Hello readers, it is my second makeup look this week and today I want to show you a makeup look I did a few weeks ago when I was still living in India. This look features one of my favorite eye pallette by Charlotte Tilbury which is a limited edition, "Falling Angel". You may notice a beautiful different bronzy look on my skin on below pictures; well if you are wondering what specific product I used to get it the answer is none. It is simply the India's sun effect. But if you want to know how I got this overall look, just keep on reading...
THE SKIN
To prepare my skin I used a primer to minimize the size of my pores and to decrease oiliness. I then applied a long lasting foundation all other.

THE EYES

To even out my dark lids I first applied a concealer  close to my skin tone on this area and the a brightening concealer under the eyes.On my lids I then put a bronzy eye shadow (1) that has a little bit of shimmer. On the inner corner of my eyes I put a light touch of  a shimmer beige looking color to brighten my eyes (2). Close to my bottom lashes I lightly applied some dark brown eyeliner to give more definition to my eyes. I used a brown color instead of the black one because I did not want the look to be heavy. I then quickly filled in the gap of my brows with a dark brown eye pencil and  finished the eye look with 2 coats of mascara.

THE CHEECKS
For my cheecks I frist applied some orange blush then I added a brick color blush on top to get the perfect glowing color I was looking for. I then set everyting with a powder on my entire face focusing on the t-zone as usual.
THE LIPS
On my lips I used a bronzy color lipstick that I love; it gives a perfect final touch to the entire look I think.
I truely think this look is perfect for the upcoming sunny days and the natural tan you'll get will give the final touch. I wore that look for work but I could also easily used that look for a special occasion thanks to the lightly shimmery eye shadows. In this case no need to change anything just add appropriate accessories.
 Hope you enjoyed the look!
